Because this texture is steam-set, keep direct heat as low and infrequent as the style allows. Repeated high heat on any steam-set texture wears the pattern down over time. A light serum keeps it smooth and controls flyaways; heavy oils weigh the body down and flatten it.

Length & Fit
Kinky Straight wears close to true length, unlike the curly and wavy textures. Because the pattern is essentially straight with body, a 20" bundle wears close to 20", with only slight shortening from the texture. What you order is roughly what you get.
The rule of thumb: order at or just above your finished length. If you want it hitting mid-back, 22" to 24" gets you there. For a full head, plan on three to five bundles depending on your density and how full you want it, and confirm the count with your stylist before you order, since every braider works differently.
