Touching it mid-dry is what causes frizz on this texture, not humidity. Diffuse on low if you need speed, and never brush it dry. Detangle damp with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, ends first.
Because this texture is steam-set, keep direct heat low and infrequent. Skip heavy oils and butters, which pull a deep wave straight and flatten the exact volume you bought it for. Store loosely braided in a satin bag between installs so the pattern holds.

Length & Fit
A deep wave wears roughly 25% to 30% shorter than its measured length. The pattern is deeper than Water Wave, so it eats more length. A 24" bundle will sit closer to 17" to 18" on you. That is the wave working, not a short bundle, and it is the number one thing women get wrong when they order this texture.
The rule of thumb: order one to two sizes up from your finished length. Waist-length finished means 28" to 30", not 24". For a full head, plan on four to six bundles depending on your density, and lean toward the higher end here, since the whole appeal of this texture is fullness and under-ordering defeats the purpose. Confirm the count with your stylist before you order, since every braider works differently.
